Conscious Living, Healing Retreat
Serpentine Ridge Retreat
Serpentine Ridge acknowledges Tradition Owners of Country here on the land & throughout Australia & we recognize the continuing connection to lands, waters & communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander Cultures, & to Elders Past & Present.
We Acknowledge the Lands First Storey Tellers and First Nations Knowledge. Country is more than just ownership or connection to the land…we are meaning something beyond the dictionary meaning of the word…we mean homeland, or tribal or clan area & we mean more than just a place on a map. “Country” is a word for all the values, places, resources, stories & cultural obligations associated with that area & it’s features, It describes the entirety of Ancestral Domains. While they may all no longer necessarily be the title holders to Land, Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander Australians are still connected to the Country of their Ancestors & most consider themselves the custodians or carers of their Land. With
With respect of the custodians of this land, we the present title holders of the land for the last 35 years feel it is an honour & a prividlege to live here & we are passionate doing everything in our powers to honour the land bringing back “Gondwana” from the times before the early settlers, bringing back the original plant species with the knowledge & advice of Elders, these custodians from our area. Our passion is to bring people to the land, to slow down to the pace of nature, to feel, to learn to listen to grow in respect & to leave nothing behind except their footprints, their heart energy in their experience of giving back to country by planting a tree during the time they are here !!
